About 4388 MiniGame

4388 MiniGame collects free games that run in the browser, sorts them into categories and ranks them, so you can find something fun quickly. Clicking a game opens the creator's own page in a new tab. We do not host or modify any game.

Where games come from

New games enter a private candidate pool from public listings every hour and are published after review: itch.io (free web games), Hacker News “Show HN” posts and GitHub projects with a playable homepage. Players can also submit a game: it is checked automatically (https, malware and phishing blocklist, not already listed, a single game rather than a portal page, no bot check) and listed straight away, marked “Player-submitted”. Title, short description and cover image are taken from those listings or the game page itself. Adult content is filtered by keywords; games reported by several players are hidden for review. Game links are re-checked every hour in rotation, games people have played first; games whose page or domain no longer exists are hidden automatically. If a game won’t open, please use “Report this game”.

Safety

We only link to games; nothing is hosted or embedded here, and every game opens on its creator's site in a new tab. We only list https links, skip URL shorteners and file downloads, and check each site's domain against Cloudflare's malware and phishing blocklist when it is added and again at the moment you click Play. Every hour the system rechecks links in rotation: a game is hidden for review if its link now redirects to another site or an unsafe address, turns into a parked or for-sale domain page, no longer contains the game it used to, or its domain has expired or been registered again by someone else. Player-submitted games on a creator’s own site appear only in Newest and search for their first 7 days, until they pass a second check. Covers of player-submitted games are shown only from copies kept on this site. No check is perfect: never enter passwords or payment details in a game, and report anything suspicious.

How ranking works

Recommended combines player votes (players tap Fun or Not fun; with few votes the fun share is pulled toward 70%, so one vote cannot top the chart), plays in the last 7 days, number of comments, popularity on the original site, and a short boost for new games. Most played counts each device at most once per game per day. A game's fun share appears once it has at least 3 votes, and Most liked only lists games with 5 or more. Star ratings given before 21 October 2026 were converted: 4–5 stars count as Fun, 1–2 stars as Not fun, and 3 stars are not counted. Categories are ordered by plays in the last 7 days, updated once a day. “New” marks games the creator released within the last 3 days.

Privacy

Browsing, rating and commenting need no account. To stop repeat votes and repeat play counts we store a random device ID in a cookie and a salted, one-way hash of your IP address. We never store the IP address itself. Comments and nicknames you post are public. Comment submission uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. “Played” history stays in your own browser. Some cover images load directly from the game’s original site (for example itch.io), which may receive your IP address and browser details when the image loads.

Sign-in and accounts (optional). Sign-in uses Google; Google's sign-in script loads only when you open the sign-in box. We keep your Google account ID, the display name and email Google provides, and the games you save for account management. Emails are accessible only in our private admin area and are not displayed publicly. We do not store your profile photo. Existing accounts receive an email record when you complete Google sign-in again; an existing session alone does not supply it. A random sign-in ID is kept in a cookie for up to 90 days; our database stores only a one-way hash of it. You can sign out on the Saved page, or delete your account there: this immediately removes the account, every signed-in device and all saved games.

Submitting a game (sign-in required). When you submit a game we keep, linked to your account ID: the web address, the optional description, whether you are the creator or recommending it, the time, and the result of the automatic check. We use this to enforce the daily limit (3 listings per person per day) and to handle problem listings. To check a submission our server opens the public game page once and looks up its domain on Cloudflare’s security DNS. When you choose to read the title, description and category before listing, our server also opens the page once and keeps the address and time for about 1 day to limit how often this can be used. The title, description and category you enter are stored with the game; if you rename it, the page’s original title is kept so the game can still be found by that name. A listed game’s address, title, description and cover are public and marked “Player-submitted”; your name is not shown. Deleting your account also deletes your submission records; games already listed stay on the site because they are public links, and can be reported like any other game.

Usage statistics. To understand how the site is used, we keep our own daily totals: page views; which website or app brought you here (only its domain or app name, e.g. threads.com); utm campaign tags in the link; country or region (worked out by Cloudflare from the connection; we do not store your IP address); device type (phone, tablet or computer); how often each search term is used (not linked to any person or device; terms that look like an email address, phone number or web address are not recorded); which home-page tabs are used; which section a Play click came from; how many saves, sign-ins, ratings, comments, tip-button clicks and clicks on the links in the Curator’s picks page happen; how often the “Add to home screen” bar is shown, tapped or closed, and the install result; how often the site is opened from a home-screen icon; and how often the weekly email box is shown. These statistics are stored in our own database as totals only: no individual browsing history is kept and nothing is linked to your account. To count play clicks once per device per day, the server briefly keeps the device ID and the salted network hash with the games it opened that day (at most three counted per network per game per day) and deletes them after about two days.

To count how many devices visit each day, week and month and how many come back, a cookie in your browser records the dates of your first and latest visit (kept for up to about 400 days), and a short-lived marker (one day) tells a first visit apart. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we do not set this cookie and you are not counted as a visitor (page views are still counted, without any identifier). To count the home-screen bar at most once per device per day, and to tell a first launch from a home-screen icon from later ones, your browser keeps the relevant dates in its own storage (no identifier); with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track on, these two are not reported and no dates are kept. No third-party traffic analytics is enabled; we measure our own paid placements using anonymous per-page delivery, viewability and click counters, without cross-site advertising profiles. Totals such as monthly play clicks for a game may be shared with game creators or partners; they never contain personal data.

Campaign sources.Unless Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled, a cookie stores public source and campaign labels for up to 30 minutes to aggregate later play and save actions. Labels contain no account or device ID; internal navigation does not extend the window. The dashboard shows the latest 48 hours; expired hourly totals are deleted in batches during later statistics writes. Daily statistics retain their existing policy. These independent event totals are not same-person conversion rates, payments or course registrations.

Who looks after your data. The site is run by a sole proprietor based in Hong Kong, who is responsible for the data described here. To ask about, correct or delete your data, email [email protected]; we reply within 40 days at no charge. Data is stored on Cloudflare’s servers, which may be outside Hong Kong.

How long we keep it. Device and IP-hash records used to count plays are deleted after about 2 days; per-game daily play totals are kept for 35 days. Votes and comments, with their device ID, are kept until the vote, comment or game is removed; the IP hash stored with them is cleared after 90 days, and reports are deleted after 90 days. Email us with a link to a comment or game to ask for removal. Sign-in lasts up to 90 days; your account, Google-provided email, saved games and submission records are kept until you delete your account. The device ID cookie lasts up to 1 year, the visit-date cookie up to about 400 days, and the language and theme cookies up to 1 year. Daily site statistics contain no personal data and are kept long term.

Weekly game emails. If you choose to subscribe, we store your email, subscription choice, consent wording version, source and time to send 4388 new games, player picks and site feature updates by email about once a week. Google sign-in alone does not subscribe you. Typed addresses are not marked as verified; a matching verified Google address can be marked verified. Only the site operator can access the list; addresses are not sold or provided to advertisers. Subscription data is stored on Cloudflare, potentially outside Hong Kong. When sending is enabled, the email service processes only what is needed to deliver the newsletter. You can stop emails at any time in email preferences or through the unsubscribe link in each issue, at no charge. We retain the address and consent history while subscribed and retain an opt-out record to prevent future sending; you can request deletion at [email protected]. Deleting an account also removes subscriptions linked to that account. The popup remembers dismissal for 30 days and a submitted request for up to one year, without storing your email in browser storage.

Your rights. You can ask to see, correct or delete data about you. For signed-in accounts we keep the email supplied by Google. For anonymous comments or activity, we may need details such as the comment text, its time or the game’s address to locate records. The site is not aimed at children under 13, and sign-in is only for people aged 13 or over. See also our terms of use.

Player collections and saved lists. We store the collections you create, game selections, chosen alias, visibility and saved collections with your account. Extra collections are public by default; after creating one, you can choose Private in List settings. Existing private collections and individual saved games remain private. Private collections are readable only by their signed-in owner. Unlisted collections are absent from the directory, but anyone with the link can read and forward it. Public collections with playable games may appear in Popular lists and search results. Popular lists ranks by whole-collection saves, then by most recently updated. Only your chosen alias is displayed, never your Google name or email. Saving a whole collection follows its author's updates; private or unavailable collections are shown as unavailable. Deleting your account also removes collections you created and saved.

New feature notices.Browser storage and a cookie remember dismissed announcement versions, without account information. The same version does not repeat; another browser or clearing site data may show it again.

Reports

Use “Report this game” on a game page for broken, inappropriate or misattributed games. A game reported from three different networks is hidden for review. You can also report a comment; a comment reported from three different networks is hidden for review.

Support 4388

4388 MiniGame is free to use. If it helped you find something fun, you can leave a tip to support site upgrades (US$5 per coffee — as many as you like). Tips are optional and unlock nothing; they go toward upgrading and running the site and listing more games. Payment is completed on Stripe's checkout page and we never receive your card number. Stripe shares transaction details such as the amount and the email you enter with us for our records (see Stripe’s privacy policy).
